440C Stainless Steel is a Japanese produced steel that is highly resistant to corrosion and salt water with only a minimum of care needed to protect the blade from rust. 440C steel is proven to be very tough. It has high wear resistance which is important if the knife is used in an outdoor environment. 440C blade will take a sharp edge and hold it the longest over any of the other blade materials.

CARE: When needed, use a Diamond Wet Stone to re-sharpen the blade. When done using the knife, wash it with soap and water, dry completely, coat with olive oil, and store away from the sheath. Leather pulls moisture out of the air and can rust the blade if stored improperly for long duration of time in the sheath.
