AUS-8 Stainless Steel is a high-chromium premium Japanese produced steel. AUS-8 has an excellent resistance to rusting and corrosion. The elements that make up AUS-8 help the steel reach a higher level of toughness, hardness, and wear. AUS-8 attains a superior edge retention and sharpness and is easy to resharpen as needed. Hardened to 57-59HRC.

SHEATH: The knife comes with the high-quality cowhide leather sheath in the photos. If the sheath has a loop it is for a fire starter or sharpening rod (NOT included). If the sheath has attached straps they are for concealed and horizontal carry options. The sheath is designed to be worn Left Hand Scout and Right Hand Cross Draw and Right Hand dangler.
KNIFE CARE AND CLEANING: When needed, use a Diamond Wet Stone or better to re-sharpen the blade. When done using the knife, wash it in soap and water, dry completely, coat in olive oil and store away from the sheath. Leather pulls moisture out of the air and can rust the blade and bolsters if stored improperly.
DETAILS: All our knives and axes are 100% handmade. We do not use any CNC machining, water-jet, or pre-cut blanks to make our items. Each knife or Axe will be 100% unique and may have some handmade characteristics that make them unique.
